Dear Mara, dear Peter and Sabine,
i am sorry for not replying earlier but this is my first day back to the school since four months.
my dear friend Mara, it seems for me that my last letter have been misunderstood. my purpose of sharing with you our feeling of being neglected recently was not for checking if we want to continue being part of this partnership or not, we DO WANT to be part of this project and will always be honored with contributing to it as much as we can. but what we wanted to tell you is that we see that there has been a communication problem which arised in so many times and we do want to over come this kind of communication problem with you. we never thought of continuing or not, we do want to continue, but it was importatnt for us to share with you how we see our selves at this point as we believe that by being transparent with each other, we could achieve more progress.
i totally agree with you about the importance of having a meeting for the organizing staff. i don't know how possible this could be, but we want to do any step forward from our end which could support our project and to support the efforts of Peter and Sabine. in your last email you mentioned to me the meeting in April and you asked whether we could take a group of students, yes Mara, we will be happy to work on that. please let me know the dates, and hopefully we will make it.
in addition, we want to invite you all to participate in our second international peace trees conference which will take place between 15-30th December 2006. the first Peace Trees conference took place last July and it was a great success. there was about 60 internationals and about 15 Israelis. we hope you will join us in the next conference.
this time is very critical for us especially after the elections and the new government here. therefore, it is important for us to keep our activities toward building an intercultural dialogue and keep the commitment for educating in the sense of peace. being part of the "building bridges project" and contributing to it, has lots of meanings and values for us especially in the present time.
again, about the "equal sides", i want you to know that we have deep respect for you all in this project, especially for our German friends Peter and Sabine and for you Mara as well. we all here appreciate and acknowledge all the efforts that have been done since many years. for me personally, Peter has always been the wisdom and inspiration. and you Mara, have been my teacher for long time and i will never forget how much i learnt from you.
but it was hard for us to feel neglected, i hope you understand us.
with love and respect, Ghada
